TEO is admired for publishing news from various perspectives unlike most newswire services, even though it stands strong in favour of an independent state of Tamil Eelam for the Tamil minority in Ceylon.

To continue our tradition of reliable, balanced and free reporting, our financial costs need to be met. In addition to journalists, we  have to pay for bandwidth on our servers, promoting, translating, and overall enhancement of our service.
